\"MAC<\/p>\n

The Mary Amelia Douglas-Whited Community Women’s Health Education Center (MACWHEC) in partnership with Newcomb Collage Institute of Tulane University, has published their 2013 Report on the Health of Women and Girls \u00a0in Greater New Orleans.<\/p>\n

The mission of the MAC Women\u2019s Health Education Center is to advance equitable health and well-being for all women by creating and supporting evidence-based, population-specific health programs and serve the community in ways that promote inclusiveness and diversity in respect to women’s health issues.<\/p>\n

They\u00a0convened a working group of academics, civil servants,\u00a0representatives of community-based organizations, and elected\u00a0officials, to create this health report.\u00a0Sections included are: \u00a0health & wellness behavior, reproductive health, chronic disease, cancer, infectious disease and social determinants of health.<\/p>\n
