The BHI Program\nManager duties are to\no Coordinate the assigned program providing services to clients\no Recommend policies and procedures and interprets their use to ensure\ncompliance in\nmaintaining program accountability and effectiveness,\no Evaluate program\/projects as required to improve the quality as well\nas quantity of\nservice delivery,\no Provide technical assistance to program and office staff in areas of\nexpertise.\no Represent the department on inter-agency councils and committees and\nattend meetings\nrelating to area of responsibility,\no Maintain a collaborative relationship with health agencies,\no Prepare reports on program performance, needs, services, information\nand demographic\ndata.\no Contribute to and ensure the evaluation of program performance,\no Monitor program operations through on site visits, review of reports\nand records,\no Provide information and interpretation of the assigned program\/special\nprojects to all\ndepartmental staff and prepares program plans, policy manuals and other\ninformational\nmaterials for distribution to staff, health agencies and clients to meet\ngrant reporting\nrequirements.\no May supervise graduate student interns\nMinimum Qualifications:\n-Master's Degree required;\nSocial Work, Counseling, Public Health, or related field preferred\n-Undergraduate degree required, social sciences preferred\n-Two years experience working in healthcare, mental health and\/or\nsubstance abuse\ninterdisciplinary team programs, preferably in Louisiana\n-Knowledge of grant and\/or management responsibilities preferred\n-Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid survey process, utilization review\nand\/or\nbehavioral health coding procedures a plus\nCurrent opening: Collaborative to Improve Behavioral Healthcare Access\n(CIBHA)\nProvide development and support implementation of collaborative care\nmodel for health\nagencies in accordance with grant terms and agreed upon timelines\nObjective 1: Provide participants' with assistance in formulating their\nunique C-IBHA\nplan to implement components of the Chronic Care Model\nObjective 2: Identify technical assistance needs or topics\nObjective 3: Monitor participants' progress in achieving plan milestones\nOrganize BHAN and C-IBHA meetings including, but not limited to,\ninternal team coordination\ndiscussions, technical assistance calls and day long seminars.\nDuties include: locate venue, develop agenda, transcribe minutes,\ndisseminate agenda and\nmaterials; order refreshments, attend meetings on behalf of department\nProgram Manager (Behavioral Health)\nDesired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:\n1. Ability to think proactively and. to work independently on assigned\nspecial\nprojects.\n2. Experience planning community meetings, designing and implementing\npublic\nhealth initiatives.\n3. Experience in Coalition building, community organizing, and health\npromotion.\n4. Ability to write clear, concise reports, and to follow and to give\nwritten and oral\ninstructions in a precise, understandable manner.\n5. Ability to establish rapport with others and to maintain harmonious\nworking\nrelationships with others.\n6. The ability to work with diverse populations and agencies within the\nsocial\nservice and health care community required.\n7. Strong skills in written and oral communication: experience in formal\nreporting\nan asset.\n8. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability of developing time\nlines and\nmeeting deadlines.\n9. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate\neffectively.\n10. Commitment to the mission of LPHI\n11. Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including: Microsoft\nWord 7.0,\nMicrosoft Excel 7.0, Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, Microsoft Outlook\n2000Microsoft Publisher an asset\nSalary\/Benefits:\n1.
