Family Health International (FHI) is dedicated to improving lives, knowledge, and understanding worldwide through a highly diversified program of research, education, and services in HIV\/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, reproductive health, and infectious diseases. Position Description:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Technical Advisor will provide senior level leadership to FHI’S country and regional programs globally in the area of male sexual health (MSH) and HIV\/AIDS prevention. S\/he will provide direct technical assistance and coordinate the provision of technical assistance in MSH to FHI country offices and implementing agencies globally and especially in the Asia Pacific region. S\/he will ensure that FHI’S MSH programs and related surveillance and research are technically sound and of high quality. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

BS\/BA in public health or related field, and 9-11 years relevant experience in HIV\/AIDS or family planning with international development programs. Overseas field experience required. Or MS\/MA\/MPH in public health or related field, and 7 – 9 years relevant experience in HIV\/AIDS or family planning with international development programs. Overseas field experience required. Or PhD, MD or similar degree with 5 – 7 years relevant experience in HIV\/AIDS or family planning with international development programs. Overseas field experience required. In addition, has international name recognition among peers in same discipline or program area (can be informally assessed); and has a least 5 professional publications in respected journals or other fora. Experience in Behavior Change Communication and Surveillance desirable. Developing country field experience required. Experience in managing teams and programs. Excellent verbal and written English skills.
