Family Health International (FHI) is dedicated to improving lives, knowledge, and understanding worldwide through a highly diversified program of research, education, and services in HIV\/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, reproductive health, and infectious diseases. We are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:<\/p>\n

Country Director<\/span> (Madagascar)<\/p>\n

\nPosition Description:<\/strong>
\nProvides leadership and management oversight for all FHI\u2019s portfolio of projects and activities in Madagascar; oversees operations and, as the primary FHI representative, ensures strong collaboration between FHI and the Government, donors and sponsors. Represents FHI to external donors\/sponsors and leads FHI business and resource development efforts in Madagascar. Also serves as director for Madagascar of the projects and activities of the Contraceptive and Reproductive Health Technologies and Research Utilization (CRTU) program and provides leadership, management and administrative oversight for FHI\u2019s research, training, and information dissemination activities. Leads FHI\u2019s efforts in reproductive health research and research utilization in Madagascar.<\/p>\n

\n

Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

MS\/MA in public health or related field and 7-9 years program management experience in HIV\/AIDS or family planning with international development programs and 5-7 years of supervisory experience; or PhD\/MD and 5-7 years program management experience in HIV\/AIDS or family planning with international development programs and 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Excellent French language and communication skills (written and oral) and fluency in Malagasy required. Excellent English language and communication skills strongly preferred. Ability to travel within country or region and internationally if needed.<\/p>\n
