\nGENERAL<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Director of Community Partnerships and Program Placements<\/strong> for DePaul\u2019s Master of Public Health (MPH) program will be responsible for directly supervising graduate students in their practicum, acting as liaison between the MPH program and various community and government agency personnel, and teaching the three-course practicum sequence (Fall, Winter & Spring quarters) for MPH graduate students. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Provide written and oral feedback during weekly supervision of <\/span>MPH graduate students during their nine-month practicum assignment ( 15%). <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Create and maintain all practicum-related documentation mandated by the Council on Education for Public Health Programs (CEPH) and DePaul University (15 %). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Cultivate relationships with and coordinate communications, practicum placements and activities between various community and government agencies; as well as communications with CEPH, MPH Program Staff and the College of LA&S (20 %). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Teach the three-course practicum sequence during Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters: <\/span><\/span>MPH 602: Community Health Assessment and Evaluation, MPH 603: Practicum in Program Planning and Implementation, and MPH 604: Capstone Seminar in Community Public Health Practice. ( 15%). <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Work with MPH Program Faculty and Staff to conduct day-to-day program activities with other University departments, programs and offices ( 10%). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Work with the MPH Program Staff in the recruitment and admission of faculty and graduate students ( 5%). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Work with the MPH Program staff to manage the implementation of the MPH goals,<\/span> objectives, policies and priorities <\/span>( 5%). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Participate in a variety of on-campus and off-campus meetings and conferences; attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the public health field <\/span>( 5%). <\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Respond to and resolve prospective and current student inquiries <\/span>(5 %). <\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of practicum program methods and procedures <\/span>(5%). <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Plan, organize, direct and coordinate the work of management, supervisory, professional, and technical personnel; receive and delegate authority and responsibility. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Identify and respond to DePaul community and public health issues, concerns and needs. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Prepare clear and concise administrative and financial reports. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Interpret and apply Federal and State accreditation policies, procedures, laws and regulations. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Use a computer proficiently with MS Office programs. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Supervise and provide assessments<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>Interact on a professional level with graduate students, faculty, community members and prospective graduate students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Experience and Training Guidelines<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>5 years of public health experience including 3 years of supervisory responsibility. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>5 years of collaborating with higher education personnel is preferred<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7<\/span> <\/span>A doctoral degree<\/span> with major course work in public health, or a related field. <\/span><\/p>\n
