Boys Town Louisiana is looking for a part-time<\/span><\/strong> Data Coordinator for its Community-based Abstinence Education program. The program\u2019s purpose is to provide an abstinence-only educational curriculum to 9th<\/sup> and 10th<\/sup> grade public high school students. This project is federally funded and is research-driven to determine the effectiveness of the program.<\/p>\n

The Data Coordinator\u2019s major responsibilities and duties include:
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assists in the collection of data for social science research firm and collaborates with Boys Town staff as assigned:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of the local area public schools and strong data collection skills required<\/p>\n

1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Serves as the point person of data collection for Boys Town, area schools and research agency.
\n2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of survey methodology and outcome evaluation design desirable, but not required
\n3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter able to work independently
\n4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent written communication skills needed.
\n5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience in working with local community organizations preferred.
\n6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Works with senior researchers to collect and manage data at Boys Town, local public schools, and other social service agencies as assigned.<\/p>\n

7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assists in the program survey distribution and other data collection
\n8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to review and record gathered information and code data.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinates and monitors the implementation of site based training and data collection
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Contacts parents to obtain consent, and administer surveys to research subjects<\/p>\n

1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and data collection systems in conjunction with supervisors
\n2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reports on data collection and processes and delivers data collected information to supervisors or research firm<\/p>\n

3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provides input to update current materials or improve program data collection processes.
\n4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Miscellaneous\/other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS:
\n1. Bachelor of Arts\/Science degree required in human services, psychology, criminal justice or a related field; 2. Knowledge of Boys Town Program a plus and experience working within a community-based setting; 3. Must have own car and ability to travel locally; 4.
