Pediatric Clinical\/Health Services Clinician-Investigator.
\nWe seek a clinician-investigator with a proven track record in pediatric health services or general pediatric research. This person will help to direct the activities of the MGH Center for Child and Adolescent Health Policy, including program and research development, mentoring junior faculty, and directing the MGH component of a joint health services fellowship with Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. This person will have a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School at the assistant or associate professor level, based on experience.<\/p>\n
Pediatric Research Scientist.
\nThe MGH Center for Child and Adolescent Health Policy seeks a social or behavioral scientist to join the research programs of the center. The successful candidate will have a PhD in an appropriate field (e.g., economics, health services, sociology, developmental psychology) and a proven track record of publications and externally funded research in areas with some relation to child health. The position includes a faculty position at Harvard Medical School at the level of assistant or associate professor.<\/p>\n
The MGH Center for Child and Adolescent Health Policy is dedicated to improving the health of children and adolescents through research that identifies and promotes effective programs and policies for their health care. The center carries out multidisciplinary research in child and adolescent health services,
\noutcomes, and health policy, based on a group of 10 MD and PhD researchers with support from Center programmers, research assistants, and administrative staff. Major current research includes work examining the evidence base for elements of care for children with chronic health conditions, several studies related to preventing secondhand smoke exposure by children, development of a national multisite program of intervention research in childhood autism, and research on the family impact of childhood chronic illness. Funding comes from a variety of public and private sources, including the NIH, CDC, MCHB, Autism Speaks, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The center also houses the editorial offices of Ambulatory Pediatrics, the official journal of the Academic Pediatric Association and is the MGH site for the Harvard wide Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship.<\/p>\n
