{"id":668,"date":"2008-10-22T15:50:46","date_gmt":"2008-10-22T20:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mchtulane.wordpress.com\/?p=501"},"modified":"2008-10-22T15:50:46","modified_gmt":"2008-10-22T20:50:46","slug":"sexual-reproductive-health-advocacy-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thatscourtney.space\/blueprint\/sexual-reproductive-health-advocacy-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Sexual &amp; Reproductive Health Advocacy Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-left:6pt;margin-right:6pt;margin-bottom:6pt;\">\n<div>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Program Coordinator: Sexual &amp; Reproductive Health Advocacy Project (SRHAP)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Incorporated in 1993, the Institute of Women &amp; Ethnic Studies (IWES) is a not-for-profit 501[c](3) organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana.\u00a0 IWES is dedicated to improving the physical, mental, and spiritual health and quality of life for women of color and their families.\u00a0 The <strong>Sexual &amp; Reproductive Health<\/strong> <strong>Advocacy Project (SRHAP)<\/strong> is a participatory action research project designed to advocate for services, resources and policies in post-Katrina New Orleans that support a reproductive justice agenda, particularly\u00a0 mental, sexual and reproductive health services for underserved women, their families and communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">The Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of meetings, communication, action plans, and of the execution of multi-faceted activities for <strong>SRHAP<\/strong>.\u00a0 This is a full-time position under the supervision of the Program Director and the Executive Director of IWES.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\"> <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Work      with broad coalition of public health educators, service providers, and      community organizers for program implementation and evaluation <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Coordinate      program planning, implementation and collaborative activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Monitor      project development to ensure that activities meet objectives<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;color:#070707;\">Contribute to program reports, documentation and      recording-keeping for the SRHAP activities and committees<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Assist      in the development and supervision of work plans in keeping with project      goals and objectives<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Maintain      ongoing communication and reporting of project development to IWES      staff,\u00a0 community partners and stakeholders <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Assist      in the development of periodic reports for community dissemination, policy      briefings, and as needed by funders<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"EC_MsoNormal\">\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;\">Knowledge and Skills Required:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:'Bookman Old Style',serif;color:#070707;\">Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program design,      implementation, evaluation and\/or community organizing and coalition      building.
