{"id":652,"date":"2008-10-16T11:42:33","date_gmt":"2008-10-16T16:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mchtulane.wordpress.com\/?p=461"},"modified":"2008-10-16T11:42:33","modified_gmt":"2008-10-16T16:42:33","slug":"regional-epidemiologist-in-houma-la","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thatscourtney.space\/blueprint\/regional-epidemiologist-in-houma-la\/","title":{"rendered":"Regional Epidemiologist in Houma, LA"},"content":{"rendered":"<pre>The Office of Public Health, Department of Health and Hospitals, State\nof Louisiana is seeking a qualified person for an opening position as\nthe\n\nRegional Epidemiologist in Houma, LA\n\nWork responsibilities:\nThe incumbent will\n*       Coordinate and conduct epidemiological investigations for OPH\nprograms such as Infectious Diseases, Maternal and Child Health, Injury\nPrevention, Chronic Diseases, Environmental Epidemiology and\nOccupational Health Conditions in the region.\n*       Participate in emergency preparedness, particularly regarding\nbioterrorism events, and natural disasters such as hurricanes.\n*       Function as the team leader for all epidemiologic activities in\nthe region.\n*       Provide epidemiologic technical assistance to the Regional\nManagement Team and community groups regarding assessments,\nepidemiologic methods, program\/study design and program evaluation,\nsources of and interpretation of quantitative data and quality assurance\nactivities.\n*       Prepare and review reports of epidemiologic studies and\ninvestigations\n\nMinimum qualifications:\nA master's degree in public health, which included twelve hours in\nepidemiology, biostatistics, tropical medicine, maternal and child\nhealth, occupational health, international health, community health, or\nany combination\nOR\nA master's degree in nursing, a social science, a biological science, or\na behavioral science, which included twelve semester hours in\nepidemiology and\/or biostatistics or a combination\n OR\nA doctorate degree in veterinary medicine, which included twelve\nsemester hours in epidemiology and\/or biostatistics or a combination\n OR\nA doctorate degree in epidemiology.\n\nWork location: The Regional Epidemiologist will be located in the OPH\noffice in Houma however the applicant is also supposed to travel within\nthe region and sometimes within Louisiana.\n\nSalary range: $ 36,612 to 72,864 per year\n\nInterested persons should apply through the Civil Service Website at:\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.civilservice.la.gov\/asp\/csJobSearch\/Search\/View.aspx?id=57549\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.civilservice.la.gov\/asp\/csJobSearch\/Search\/View.aspx?id=57549<\/a>\nThe position will be posted until October 27, 2008\nPlease email Dr. Susanne Straif-Bourgeois at: ssbourge@dhh.la.gov if you\nhave any questions re this position.<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The incumbent will<br \/>\n*       Coordinate and conduct epidemiological investigations for OPH programs such as Infectious Diseases, Maternal and Child Health, Injury Prevention, Chronic Diseases, Environmental Epidemiology and Occupational Health Conditions in the region&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-652","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-general-posts"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 -
