Examples of essential functions performed by the incumbent in this position include (but are not limited to) the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:Tahoma,sans-serif;\">Perform descriptive analyses, trend analyses,      geospatial analyses, and statistical analyses of infectious disease      surveillance data (TB, HIV\/AIDS) using appropriate epidemiologic and      statistical methods and software (SAS, ArcGIS)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:Tahoma,sans-serif;\">Act as project coordinator for collection of      supplemental surveillance data (incidence data, survey data, medical      record data) by participating in design and management of supplemental      surveillance methods and systems, training providers and local health      partners, and supervising interviewers\/abstractors. Conduct interviews and      medical record abstractions when needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:Tahoma,sans-serif;\">Work with Information Technology staff to devise      and carry out appropriate data management techniques for HIV supplemental      surveillance projects. Provide technical support and makes recommendations      about data management processes for the TB program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:Tahoma,sans-serif;\">Produce written, oral, and graphical presentations      of HIV and TB data for presentation to community organizations, public      agencies, providers, planning bodies, policy makers, and other constituent      groups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:Tahoma,sans-serif;\">Provide technical consultation and epidemiologic      leadership for the TB program\u2019s collection, storage, analyses, and      reporting of data on program performance in contact investigations and on      cohort review.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"EC_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family:Tahoma,sans-serif;\">Provide consultation and technical assistance to      staff from local health jurisdictions, community-based organizations, and      regional planning groups in analyses and interpretation of supplemental      HIV surveillance data and tuberculosis data.
