BACKGROUND:<\/p>\n
American Cancer Society (ACS)’s International program focuses on
\ncapacity building and collaboration with cancer organizations and
\nleaders across the globe, particularly in China, India, and Mexico.
\nThe program consultant will work with Lead Manager, Southeast Asia
\nProgram to implement a new ACS International initiative in Thailand
\nunder the Pfizer Foundation Global Health Partnerships initiative. The
\nposition is grant-funded and based in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/p>\n
JOB SUMMARY:
\nAs the key local contact for project administration, the consultant
\nwill facilitate communication between local partners and with ACS
\nstaff. The consultant will monitor and report on partner organization
\nprojects to ensure fulfillment of objectives. In addition, the
\nconsultant will assist the lead manager with meetings and trainings
\nthat support partner organization development.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\n\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Facilitate planning and progress communication between ACS
\nand local stakeholders<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Evaluate training and grants by tracking and summarizing
\nobjectives and outcomes<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Maintain a knowledge base of the national context and ongoing
\ncancer control activities<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Provide on-the-ground administrative support for trainings
\nand other meetings or events<\/p>\n
Knowledge\/Skills:<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Well-organized administrator able to work independently<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Experience in multi-day event or conference planning (20+ participants)<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Demonstrated communication and networking activities
\nemploying web-based media<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Background in grants management a plus<\/p>\n
\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Thai native speaker and fluency in English, with strong writing ability<\/p>\n
