Monitoring & Evaluation Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n

IntraHealth International is searching for a Monitoring & Evaluation Manager to provide M&E technical assistance to field offices and to headquarters.\u00a0 This position is based in Chapel Hill, NC, with intermittent trips (2 -3 weeks in length) to country field offices in Africa.\u00a0 Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans for projects. Provide ongoing oversight of M&E activities in the field. Provide technical assistance to M&E field staff.\u00a0 Assist with technical design:\u00a0 sampling frames, sample size, data analysis, writing up data results, preparation of reports. Train in-country counterparts and field staff in selected M&E areas. Participate in proposal development:\u00a0 writing M&E sections (including PMPs with indicators) for project proposals. Develop and write up research design for special studies. Assist with creation of data collection instruments (mainly formulating\u00a0 survey questionnaires and assessing reliability and validity of measures). Perform data analysis:\u00a0 mainly quantitative but potentially some qualitative. Lead in conducting baseline assessments, rapid appraisals, final evaluations and special studies. Contribute to information gathering:\u00a0 literature reviews, inter-agency contacts.<\/p>\n

Minimum requirements include a Masters’ or doctoral degree in Public Health or possibly social sciences. Five or more years of proven M&E experience. Experience working on M&E for USAID funded projects. Demonstrated skills in quantitative data analysis and data management. Experience in questionnaire development (including testing for reliability and validity). Strong writing skills in English. Strong conceptual ability. Comfortable multi-tasking:\u00a0 handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize assignments. Proficient in:\u00a0 a statistical database (e.g. SPSS), Excel, Word, Power Point. Ability to travel 20%-25%. Ideal candidates will have experience in qualitative data collection and analysis and conducting Operations Research.<\/p>\n
