{"id":580,"date":"2008-07-21T16:47:01","date_gmt":"2008-07-21T21:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mchtulane.wordpress.com\/?p=239"},"modified":"2008-07-21T16:47:01","modified_gmt":"2008-07-21T21:47:01","slug":"positions-in-liberia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thatscourtney.space\/blueprint\/positions-in-liberia\/","title":{"rendered":"Positions in Liberia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>Opportunities with Project HOPE in Liberia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Project HOPE, an international, non-profit health education organization in the US is responding to a recent USAID Request for Application that will support to the <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS<\/span>) of Liberia, the cornerstone of Liberia&#8217;s National Health Plan. Through this USAID Award, Project HOPE will assist the MOH&amp;SW to expand the coverage of the BPHS, including HIV\/AIDS, Maternal and Child Health, Family Planning and Reproductive Health, Improved Environmental Health of infectious diseases through support to some 105 health facilities through expanded community outreach, and enhanced Behavior Change Communication Programs which support and promote healthy behaviors.\u00a0 A primary focus of this program will the Development of Infrastructure to increase geographic access to the BPHS, especially for clinics and health centers by consolidating health work in existing health facilities in years one and two and longer-term plans for major rehabilitation and construction.\u00a0 Through this award Project HOPE will support MOH&amp;SW efforts by renovating selected critical health care and training facilities.\u00a0 Also addressed will be the Support Systems needed to strengthen the planning and management functions required to deliver the BPHS.\u00a0 Project HOPE will work with the MOH&amp;SW to improve its capacity at central and county levels for strategic health planning and budgeting; human resources management; health management information system development; supervision, monitoring and evaluation and quality assurance.<\/p>\n<p>Join us and gain a global perspective through clinical and\/or academic teaching experience, exposure to health issues and needs in developing countries, development of healthcare systems and research, and experience in program planning and evaluation. Project HOPE is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions for Liberia:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"unIndentedList\">\n<li> <strong>Chief of Party<\/strong><\/li>\n<li> <strong>Deputy Chief of Party<\/strong><\/li>\n<li> <strong>Outreach and Communication Specialist<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><strong>Capacity<\/strong><strong> Building or Health Provider Education \/Training      Specialist<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Infrastructure      Specialist<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All potential candidates must have the following:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Successful candidate must have related experience in developing sustainable public sector systems and services and working with partner organizations (e.g. local NGOs, international NGOs, private sector) in the delivery of basic health activities in developing countries.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Successful candidate be able to clearly demonstrate capabilities and articulate prior accomplishments that reflect the individuals&#8217; work in developing countries and in conducting activities of the types required under this program.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must have experience in rebuilding or post-conflict Settings.
