On the supply side, PSI works with the commercial sector to increase the availability of these products and services at prices that are affordable to low-income populations. With a bottom-line orientation that is rare among non-profits, PSI markets products and services for family planning, maternal and child health, and the prevention of AIDS, malaria and other diseases.\u00a0 For more information, please visit: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.psi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.psi.org<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>PSI&#8217;s Senior Technical Advisor for HIV Services is responsible for supporting the implementation of the HIV service delivery strategic plan and the technical support and oversight of PSI HIV service delivery programs including HIV counseling and testing, male circumcision, and service franchising and marketing.\u00a0 The Sr. Technical Advisor is also responsible for the piloting and scale up of HIV service delivery programs.\u00a0 The Sr. Technical Advisor is responsible for external relations of PSI programs internationally. The Sr. Technical Advisor works in collaboration with the HIV team and the Global Advisors for HIV Prevention.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Support HIV service delivery programs in terms of ensuring continued      funding, stakeholder support (through conference attending, publishing      white paper and peer reviewed articles on PSI      research and programs), and effective program implementation (including      M&amp;E of programs and sharing lessons learned);<\/li>\n<li>Develop and supervise the implementation of the HIV      Department&#8217;s strategic plan for HIV services to improve technical      assistance to PSI HIV programs;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and advance new HIV initiatives such as the expansion of PSI&#8217;s HIV prevention services including      male circumcision, service franchising and concurrent sexual partnership      interventions and ensure expansion and health impact from these      innovations;<\/li>\n<li>Improve relations with external stakeholders to increase knowledge      about and support for PSI&#8217;s      HIV programs (in DC and in the field). This will include attending      conferences and international meetings and publishing working papers and      peer reviewed papers about PSI      research and HIV programs (with field platform consensus and input);<\/li>\n<li>Support the delivery of technical support to the field for HIV service      program development, expansion and support (e.g. male circumcision,      concurrent sexual partner programming, etc); and<\/li>\n<li>Support PSI&#8217;s New      Business Development Department in developing and writing technically      sound proposals to ensure increased funding for PSI&#8217;s      HIV service programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><em> <\/em><\/h1>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">QUALIFICATIONS:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Master&#8217;s      degree in public health, nursing or relevant discipline;<\/li>\n<li>At least 5-7 years      professional experience in the delivery of HIV services interventions,      including counseling and testing, provider training\/support or male      circumcision;<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing      HIV and\/or infectious disease providers and programs in developing country      settings;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in      management and mentorship of staff;<\/li>\n<li>Experience with      social marketing and private sector experience a plus; and<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in at least      one foreign language is preferred (French, Spanish and\/or Portuguese).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>PSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from qualified individuals regardless of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or disability.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PSI&#8217;s Senior Technical Advisor for HIV Services is responsible for supporting the implementation of the HIV service delivery strategic plan and the technical support and oversight of PSI HIV service delivery programs including HIV counseling and testing, male circumcision, and service franchising and marketing.
