Senior Gender Based Violence Coordinator
\nKhartoum, Sudan<\/p>\n
The International Rescue Committee currently seeks a Senior Gender Based
\nViolence (GBV) Coordinator for its Sudan program, based in Khartoum.
\nThe geographical coverage of this position will include the established
\nGBV Program in West Sudan (Darfur), the new start-up program in Southern
\nSudan as well as the development of any additional GBV interventions
\nthroughout Sudan.<\/p>\n
Primary duties will emphasize strengthening the GBV sector across Darfur
\nand Southern Sudan and technical oversight of the GBV program in Sudan.
\nThe GBV Senior Coordinator will be responsible for strategy development,
\nprogram design, implementation, standardization, and establishing
\nsystems for monitoring and evaluating all GBV-related activities. In
\ncollaboration with field staff, other program sectors and the Deputy
\nDirector for Programs, the GBV Senior Coordinator will oversee the
\ndevelopment of new GBV initiatives and ensure that they are designed and
\nimplemented in accordance with the country strategic plan, IRC’s program
\nframework, the IRC GBV Global Strategy and accepted international
\nstandards. The Senior Coordinator will represent IRC’s GBV activities at
\nthe national level. S\/he will identify gaps in services and take
\nnecessary steps to address those gaps. S\/he will provide technical
\noversight and support to all field-based, Khartoum-based & South
\nSudan-based GBV staff, with an emphasis on providing support and
\nensuring professional development.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS include: a graduate degree in, public health, social
\nsciences or relevant field; minimum of 7 years experience in GBV program
\nmanagement including implementation, staff recruitment, training,
\nsupervision and team building; and minimum of 3 years experience in
\nconflict-affected countries.<\/p>\n
