\nExecutive and senior level health specialists needed for a transformational\u00a0 global leadership maternal and child health initiative!<\/p>\n
World Vision, (ww.worldvision.org), a leading Christian humanitarian aid agency, is part of a consortium of international development organizations responding to a major USAID global initiative in maternal and child health (MCH).<\/p>\n
We are looking for leaders and innovators in the Maternal and Child Health field to help achieve measurable reductions in under-five and maternal and child mortality and morbidity.<\/p>\n
In\u00a0 this\u00a0 large global leadership five-year project, you will drive further development\u00a0 of high impact MCH interventions, including program approaches to\u00a0 effectively\u00a0 deliver\u00a0 those\u00a0 interventions.\u00a0 You\u00a0 will\u00a0 also\u00a0 test new approaches\u00a0 and tools to promote effective implementation and adaptation in the\u00a0 field\u00a0 and\u00a0 will\u00a0 conduct\u00a0 analyses\u00a0 to document the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness\u00a0 of\u00a0 intervention\u00a0 strategies.\u00a0 The project will include programs\u00a0 that\u00a0 link\u00a0 MCH\u00a0 interventions\u00a0 with\u00a0 other\u00a0 US government health programs, including child survival, malaria and HIV\/AIDS programs.<\/p>\n
World\u00a0 Vision, in collaboration with the consortium agencies, is recruiting the following key leadership positions:<\/p>\n
1. Project Director
\nThe\u00a0 Project\u00a0 Director will have overall responsibility for coordination of project\u00a0 activities\u00a0 and\u00a0 staff\u00a0 and\u00a0 principal\u00a0 responsibility for project representation\u00a0 to\u00a0 USAID.\u00a0 The\u00a0 Project\u00a0 Director should help articulate a vision\u00a0 for the project and effectively lead and manage available financial and human resources to make that vision a reality.<\/p>\n
Qualifications\u00a0 required\u00a0 are:\u00a0 executive level leadership with an advanced degree\u00a0 in\u00a0 health\u00a0 sciences\u00a0 and\u00a0 at\u00a0 least\u00a0 15\u00a0 years experience leading, managing\u00a0 and\u00a0 implementing\u00a0 large\u00a0 international maternal and child health projects\u00a0 in\u00a0 developing\u00a0 countries,\u00a0 plus experience interacting with U.S.

2. Deputy Project Director
\nThe Deputy Project Director will be responsible for daily operations of the project,\u00a0 including\u00a0 financial accountability, staffing, work planning, and reporting,\u00a0 as well as acting for the project director when s\/he is absent.
\nS\/he will handle management of the central office and the country sites, in
\nterms\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 staffing,\u00a0 facilities,\u00a0 equipment,\u00a0 vehicles,\u00a0 reporting,
\nand finances.\u00a0 The Deputy will be familiar with the technical components of MCH interventions\u00a0 and\u00a0 the\u00a0 support\u00a0 services\u00a0 they\u00a0 require,\u00a0 and\u00a0 be able to represent\u00a0 the\u00a0 project\u00a0 in\u00a0 public\u00a0 program presentations. The Deputy will ensure\u00a0\u00a0 that\u00a0 project\u00a0 operations\u00a0 are\u00a0 fully\u00a0 in\u00a0 compliance\u00a0 with USAID regulations and integrated with host-country cultural practice.<\/p>\n

3. Global Leadership Team Leader

4. Country Support Team Leader
\nThe\u00a0 Country\u00a0 Support\u00a0 Team\u00a0 Leader will manage the use of proven maternal, neonatal,\u00a0 child\u00a0 health\u00a0 and\u00a0 nutrition\u00a0 interventions,\u00a0 including family planning,\u00a0 in\u00a0 country\u00a0 programs.\u00a0 S\/he\u00a0 will\u00a0 be\u00a0 responsible for managing technical\u00a0 assistance\u00a0 to\u00a0 other mechanisms such as USAID-supported Mission bilateral\u00a0 projects,\u00a0 as well as direct implementation of country programs, where\u00a0 applicable.\u00a0 S\/he\u00a0 will\u00a0 also\u00a0 be responsible for defining specific, quantifiable\u00a0 performance\u00a0 indicators and targets for country programs, and reporting results.<\/p>\n

5. Senior PVO\/NGO Advisor
\nThe\u00a0 Senior\u00a0 PVO\/NGO Advisor will be responsible for coordinating technical and\u00a0 capacity\u00a0 building\u00a0 assistance\u00a0 to\u00a0 PVO\/NGO grantee programs to ensure innovative, effective, scalable, and sustainable programming, and to assist with developing a framework for evaluating innovations.<\/p>\n
Qualifications\u00a0 required\u00a0 are strong analytical and technical skills in the area\u00a0 of\u00a0 community-oriented\u00a0 strategies\u00a0 and NGO programming; demonstrated experience\u00a0 coordinating\u00a0 technical assistance and inputs needed by PVO\/NGO grantees\u00a0 and\u00a0 local\u00a0 partners; working across diverse teams to effectively monitor and address the needs of centrally managed programs; and minimum of 10\u00a0 years\u00a0 developing\u00a0 country experience working in public health.

6. PVO\/NGO Support Team Leader
