Description:<\/strong>\u00a0This webinar will highlight\u00a0Depression in Mothers: More Than the Blues Toolkit<\/em><\/strong>, developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), in partnership with experts in the fields of mental health and maternal and child health. This user-friendly toolkit offers background information about depression. It also offers ideas that providers can use when helping mothers, and their families, who may be suffering from depression. It will be especially useful to Women Infants and Children Program (WIC) staff, home visitors, and Healthy Start workers already working with families to raise awareness and understanding about maternal depression.<\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/strong>\u00a0Participants in the webinar will:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Learn about the framework and components of the toolkit;<\/li>\n
  • Learn how the toolkit can be used when helping mothers and their families from diverse backgrounds living in rural communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
