The practicum program is limited to <b>Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine students<\/b>. Preference is given to graduate-level students who <b>have not yet completed a practicum<\/b>, but practica have been awarded to exceptional undergraduate students in the past.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s2\">The practicum hosts are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.504healthnet.org\/\"><span class=\"s3\">504HealthNet<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/backyardgardenersnetwork.org\/\"><span class=\"s3\">Backyard Gardeners Network<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecookbookproject.org\/\"><span class=\"s3\">The Cookbook Project<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lafittegreenway.org\/\"><span class=\"s3\">Friends of Lafitte Greenway<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sankofanola.org\/\"><span class=\"s3\">Sankofa Community Development Corporation<\/span><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ochsner.org\/giving\/community-outreach\/\"><span class=\"s3\">Ochsner Health System Community Outreach Program<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">See the attached PDFs for brief descriptions of the internships and the application for all practica. All documents are also available at the Tulane PRC website under <a href=\"http:\/\/prc.tulane.edu\/pages\/detail\/10\/Career-Opportunities\"><span class=\"s4\">Career Opportunities.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s5\"><b>The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b> <\/b>for emailed or faxed applications. All mailed applications must be post-marked by <b>Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016<\/b>. The internship position may begin during the fall semester with the bulk of work performed during the spring semester. Exact start and end dates depend on student availability, program timing, and the organization\u2019s specific needs (see descriptions for details).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>The interns will be required to work a total of 300 hours for the designated organizations. <\/b>For students in the Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences Department, this program will fulfill your practicum and project requirements, upon approval of your faculty advisor. The interns will also be required to fulfill all reporting requirements mandated by the school\u2019s practicum manual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Questions?
