{"id":1913,"date":"2016-01-14T14:54:28","date_gmt":"2016-01-14T20:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mchtulane.wordpress.com\/?p=1913"},"modified":"2016-01-14T14:54:28","modified_gmt":"2016-01-14T20:54:28","slug":"primary-care-media-and-outreach-coordinator-open-practicum-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thatscourtney.space\/blueprint\/primary-care-media-and-outreach-coordinator-open-practicum-position\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary Care Media and Outreach Coordinator &#8211; open practicum position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tulane Department of Family and Community medicine is a department committed to primary care and the community medicine through a patient centered approach.\u00a0We have multiple programs designed to promote scholarship in rural health, preventive medicine, and patient oriented research.\u00a0 Our multi-media outreach coordinator will be working with all these programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dates:<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Spring and Summer Academic Sessions of 2016<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Hours:<\/strong> 8-12 Hours a week for duration of Spring and Summer 2016 sessions<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Pay\/Stipend:\u00a0 <\/strong>Stipend Available of approximately $2500 per academic session<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job duties<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Update and expand Preventive Medicine Residency Website.<\/li>\n<li>Create a SAPORO (Southern Area Patient Oriented Research Organization) website that\u00a0integrates with the Department of Family Medicine Website and Preventive Website that meets\/complies with Tulane requirements\/templates<\/li>\n<li>Update and compile a Tulane Preventive Medicine Alumni List along with current contact\u00a0information<\/li>\n<li>Create and distribute a Preventive Medicine News Letter every 6 months by email and\u00a0hard copy<\/li>\n<li>Create an up to date Preventive Medicine Residency Program Pamphlet to hand out to\u00a0prospective Preventive Medicine Residents<\/li>\n<li>Create other promotional material to promote the Preventive Medicine Residency Program\u00a0as well as Tulane\u2019s TRIP program.<\/li>\n<li>Update the Tulane Preventive Medicine Wiki Site<\/li>\n<li>Potentially attend promotional events such as residency fairs<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student of Tulane University majoring in public health, health care administration, IT, public relations, graphic design, other health related field, or related work experience Able to start immediately<\/li>\n<li>Ability to design and maintain a website within Tulane University guideline<\/li>\n<li>Flexible work schedule with ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of the English language<\/li>\n<li>Skill in designing multi-media outreach materials such as brochures, newsletters, and\u00a0other outreach materials<\/li>\n<li>Interest in working with many different people working in public health, research, and primary care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If you are interested please email your CV and contact information to Dr. Clare Hoff at <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:choff@tulane.edu\"><strong>choff@tulane.edu<\/strong><\/a><strong> and CC Lisa Dougherty at <u>lmills@tulane.edu<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tulane Department of Family and Community medicine is a department committed to primary care and the community medicine through a patient centered approach.\u00a0We have multiple programs designed to promote scholarship in rural health, preventive medicine, and patient oriented research.\u00a0 Our multi-media outreach coordinator will be working with all these programs.
