Senior Program Associate, International Training and Academic Programs<\/p>\n

AED Center for International Training is seeking a Senior Program Associate to support the development and implementation of academic and training programs. The Senior Program Associate will work with the project director in placing and monitoring participants to academic and training programs from the countries assigned.<\/p>\n

Job Functions:<\/strong><\/strong>
\nEvaluate participant credentials for academic and short-term placement
\nResearch academic programs according to USAID guidelines
\nPrepare application materials
\nConduct training budget analysis and negotiation with training providers
\nEvaluate proposal from training providers
\nOversee logistical arrangements , i.e: hotel and air reservations, housing, university and training program arrivals
\nMonitor short term and academic programs, to include maintaining contact with participants and advisors, reviewing plan of study, campus visits etc.
\nConduct orientation and assist participants in creating linkage portion of their program
\nPrepare, process, monitor payments and expenses
\nMaintain contact with AED field offices and USAID missions<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/strong><\/strong>
\n<\/strong>4 years of relevant experience required.<\/p>\n

Bachelors in Arab Studies, Asian Studies, Development Management, Foreign Affairs, International Development, or related field required.<\/p>\n

Knowledge of U.S higher education and short term training resources; experience and familiarity with USAID Trainings; knowledge and\/or experience with the Middle East, and or Asia; Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; proficiency in Arabic preferred; excellent computer skills in Word, Excel and databases.<\/p>\n
