Environmental Studies Program Coordinator<\/p>\n

The Environmental Studies Program at Wellesley College invites<\/p>\n

applications for a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will<\/p>\n

work closely with faculty and students to strengthen the program’s<\/p>\n

extracurricular activities and ties to the community in ways that<\/p>\n

enhance the academic curriculum. The person in this position will<\/p>\n

create experiential opportunities to complement ES courses,<\/p>\n

facilitate student research and internship opportunities, and<\/p>\n

coordinate extracurricular programming. Other responsibilities will<\/p>\n

include building relationships with area institutions, representing<\/p>\n

the program at conferences, and helping to identify and apply for<\/p>\n

additional funding for resources for the program. In addition to<\/p>\n

bringing enthusiasm for the program’s broader goals, the person in<\/p>\n

this position will also be responsible for the day-to-day<\/p>\n

administration of the ES program, including budgeting, scheduling and<\/p>\n

organizing events and meetings, overseeing student assistants, and<\/p>\n

performing other administrative tasks, working directly with the<\/p>\n

Program director. We are seeking an individual with a vision for<\/p>\n

environmental studies in the liberal arts context to join our<\/p>\n

expanding program. Schedule: full-time, 11 month per year, 4-year<\/p>\n

term position that may be extended pending future funding. Starting<\/p>\n

salary $53,000.<\/p>\n

Applicants should have an advanced degree in environmental studies or<\/p>\n

a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in a liberal<\/p>\n

arts college environment is beneficial. Successful candidates need to<\/p>\n

be able to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment. If<\/p>\n
