GRADUATE ASSISTANTS NEEDED\u00a0FOR
\nSURVEY ADMINISTRATION<\/h2>\n

Market Umbrella, a local non-profit organization that runs the Crescent City Farmers Market is seeking graduate research assistants\u00a0 to work on the FitNOLA Parks and Farmers Market Prescription Initiative.\u00a0\u00a0 Duties include enrolling program participants, administering surveys and conducting physical activity observations.\u00a0 Immediate work in July and August includes administering surveys in New Orleans parks after exercise classes at three different locations throughout the week, for a total commitment of about ten hours per week through the end of August. Work in the fall may include enrolling program participants, data entry and administering surveys.\u00a0 Pay rate is $12 per hour.<\/p>\n

Students should have their own reliable means of transportation, are dependable to be at the right location on time, are friendly and approachable to community members, and are patient with those who may need assistance with survey completion. The survey asks community members about their exercise and eating habits and requires a small amount of training.<\/p>\n
