Kellogg Foundation Foundation.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Associate Director, Women\u2019s and Infant Health in developing and implementing project work plans for WIH activities including cross cutting work with team project areas such as home visiting, life course, preconception health and maternal mortality.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Senior Epidemiologist, Women\u2019s and Infant Health in developing and implementing activities such as supporting\u00a0 MCH epidemiology in Title V programs, building skills for members to move data to action and documenting examples of how to do this, and providing technical assistance around data and assessment topics.<\/li>\n<li>Lead learning activities addressing quality improvement and life course indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Support Action Learning Collaboratives (ALCs) that address MCH epidemiology topics including organizing and facilitating virtual learning sessions, identifying and contacting experts to provide technical assistance, and designing and implementing a process for peer-to-peer networking.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key national groups and federal agencies related to WIH.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and report on national and state programs impacting women\u2019s and infant health and state MCH health programs.<\/li>\n<li>Produce issue briefs, fact sheets and other documents on maternal and child health topics, particularly those related data, assessment, epidemiology, and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the development and implementation of meetings, forums and other skills building opportunities for information sharing and exchange.<\/li>\n<li>Represent AMCHP at national task forces, work groups, coalitions, and federal advisory groups.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical assistance for AMCHP members and other organizations related to women\u2019s and infant health, including MCH data and assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate communication of pertinent issues to AMCHP members (via newsletter, email, web page, papers)<\/li>\n<li>Support AMCHP\u2019s Best Practices Initiative, including contributions to Innovation Station and evaluation assistance for best practices replication activities.<\/li>\n<li>Develop new ideas and concepts related to the project, and emerging issues.<\/li>\n<li>Provide staff support to AMCHP committees, regional directors, and project work groups.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to AMCHP\u2019s Evaluation and Assessment Program, including assistance to staff in designing evaluation plans, and measurement support for the AMCHP Operations Plan.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"jt_content\">\n<h1>Job Specifications<\/h1>\n<p><strong>Knowledge:<\/strong>\u00a0General knowledge of public health theory, policy and practice. Knowledge of quality improvement techniques. Knowledge of women\u2019s and infant health issues and factors affecting health status such as access to and quality of care, racial\/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities, tobacco use, nutrition\/physical activity, violence, mental health issues and HIV. Basic knowledge of U.S. maternal and child health and health care systems and related legislation a plus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong>\u00a0Demonstrated experience in basic research, project management and implementation, and evaluation. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills are essential. Experience with implementing quality improvement techniques, particularly in public health setting. Experience in measurement, epidemiology, research and analysis a plus. Experience in group facilitation, professional presentations a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access), and Internet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abilities:<\/strong>\u00a0Requires the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; ability to develop and manage tasks for several projects concurrently; ability to represent AMCHP as a partner with national, state and local organizations. Some travel required.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Education\/Experience<\/h1>\n<p>Master\u2019s degree in public health or other related health or human services field with at least three years of directly related professional experience. Five years of directly related experience can be substituted for master\u2019s degree. Certification in Public Health and direct work experience in an MCH state\/local\/federal public health agency or non-profit organization preferred.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><br \/>\nAbility to travel.
