{"id":1285,"date":"2014-05-06T13:29:15","date_gmt":"2014-05-06T18:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mchtulane.wordpress.com\/?p=1285"},"modified":"2014-05-06T13:29:15","modified_gmt":"2014-05-06T18:29:15","slug":"health-disparities-summer-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thatscourtney.space\/blueprint\/health-disparities-summer-course\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Disparities Summer Course"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#282828;\">The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) will again host a course on the science of health disparities this summer. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><span style=\"color:#282828;\"><strong>When:<\/strong> Aug 11-Aug 22<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color:#282828;\"><strong>Where:<\/strong> National Institutes of Health campus<br \/>\nBethesda, Maryland<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#282828;\">This two-week intensive course will provide specialized instruction on the concepts, principles, methods and applications of health disparities science, practice and policy. It will also integrate principles and practice of community engagement. Nationally and internationally recognized experts in health disparities science will lead individual sessions.\u00a0<\/span>The course is <strong>free<\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">but admission is competitive and daily attendance is mandatory<\/span>. Participants are responsible for transportation, room and board. Applications will only be accepted online.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#282828;\">All application materials, including recommendation letters, must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. EDT on <strong>May 22<\/strong> for consideration via the NIMHD website at\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nimhd.nih.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.nimhd.nih.gov<\/a><span style=\"color:#282828;\">.
