The NYC Epi Scholars Program is a training program for graduate epidemiology students interested in health disparities research at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). The program provides an opportunity for students to gain practical skills in health disparities research; work under the guidance of leading epidemiologists; train in a local health environment; and expand practical epidemiological skills and methods through supplemental seminars, forums and workshops. Scholars have the opportunity to also use data for thesis development, as well as work on peer-reviewed manuscripts."}
