Cowen Institute for Public Education Initiatives is seeking applicants for the n Jones Scholars Internship Program for the Spring 2009 semester. Through this innovative paid internship program, Tulane students will have an opportunity to support the transformation of public education taking place in New Orleans. Jones Scholars spend a semester working directly for a charter or traditional public school in Orleans Parish, or with one of the high-impact nonprofit organizations that support them, on a project determined by the host site. The Cowen Institute provides stipends of $6,000 for the semester of work performed on assigned projects (20 hours per week is expected).
