Director, Balasahayoga – India

The Director is a senior manager with responsibility for providing management and technical oversight of the Balasahyoga programme in the 11 districts to ensure that the project is effectively and efficiently implemented. The Director will provide leadership, management oversight, and technical direction to the project, supervise technical and programme staff, and liaise with government officials, partners, and donors in close collaboration with the programme teams. S/He will report to a senior management team comprised of directors from the three consortium member organizations: FHI, CF and CARE-India. In addition, the Director will be responsible to organize the work of managers from these three organizations and the Andhra Pradesh government in order to ensure that the programme is coordinated and that all parties are working together towards a common goal.

Minimum Requirements:
MS/MA in public health or related field and 7-9 years relevant experience with international development programs and includes 3-5 years of supervisory experience, overseas field experience required; or PhD/MD or equivalent degree and 5-7 years relevant experience. Strong programme manager with an impressive record of success in implementing complicated projects or programmes with multiple stakeholders; Experience in developing, monitoring and managing a budget; Hindi and Telugu language ability preferred.
