The University of California at Davis is seeking candidates for a Youth Development Specialist position. The individual who is selected for this position will have a strong general background in adolescent development with demonstrated experience or potential for excellence in one or more of the following areas: ethnic and cultural diversity, social-emotional development, cognitive development, risk prevention/intervention, or the participation of youth in organized, community-based learning programs such as 4-H. The successful candidate will be expected to play a key leadership role as director of the Department of Human and Community Development’s 4-H Center for Youth Development and associate director of the University of California’s Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources’ Statewide 4-H Youth Development Program, and will also be expected to contribute to the University’s cooperative extension mission to conduct applied research and outreach with a focus on adolescent development.
